Lindsey is married to her best friend and soulmate, Chad, a stepmom to 2 sweet boys, a personal trainer, and a Zumba instructor. She loves eating low carb, working out, and helping others learn to live a healthy life.
My story: I have always been an athlete and very active my whole life. I grew up playing field hockey, basketball, softball and cheerleading. At the age of 17, I was involved in a life threatening car wreck where I broke several bones in my body and had so much swelling in my brain that I had to be put in a medically induced coma. After recovering from my car accident, a couple years later I found out that I had hypothyroidism. I gained sixty pounds in a period of only three to four months. It was truly a terrifying experience! I tried every quick fix out there to lose the weight as fast as possible. This always resulted with me failing in the end. I felt completely depressed and horrible about myself.
I knew that if I didn’t want to feel like that any longer, I would have to make a big change in my life. I woke up one morning and decided I would no longer make excuses for unhealthy eating and not going to the gym. I realized that I needed to make a lifestyle change, so I committed to eating low carb and working out hard. I lost 60 pounds eating low carb and working out.
I follow a high fat, moderate protein, low carb diet in addition to doing cardio six days a week on my own, lifting weights four to five days per week, and teaching dance classes a few times a week. Eating healthy and working out has completely changed my life! It changed my life so much that I decided to get certified as a personal trainer so I could help others get healthy too. I absolutely love my job and am so thankful that I can help other people reach their goals.
The best advice I can give is to set a goal and take it one day at a time. You have to remember that gaining weight doesn’t happen over night; so losing weight will take time. It wasn’t easy, and I had to work really hard to reach my goals, but it was completely worth it. I now realize that it is completely possible to do this once you have your mindset. Remember to never, Never, NEVER GIVE UP!!! Believe in yourself and you will accomplish your goals."
I love helping others who have struggled with their weight, so you if have any questions or need any help please feel free to reach out to me. I want to help you achieve your health and fitness goals!
